Hello everyone, in this tutorial, we will continue to introduce new locations in Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE). The main locations covered in this tutorial are the larger Secret Woods and Marnie’s cabin.
The Secret Woods have some new changes in SVE.
This image shows the full view of the Secret Woods in SVE. The Secret Woods have become larger than the original version, with 13 large tree stumps respawning here every day.
Heading south, you can reach the Western Woods. Going west, you can navigate through a maze to arrive at a statue’s location.
In the Secret Woods, you can collect new foraging items added by SVE, such as the Rafflesia, Four-Leaf Clover, Poison Mushroom, Red Baneberry, and Mushroom Colonies.
In winter, you can collect Bearberry in the Secret Woods, or obtain it by digging up Ancient Spots.
By excavating the Secret Woods’ Ancient Spots, you can also acquire Ancient Fern Seeds and Shrub Seeds. Planting Ancient Fern Seeds in the summer will yield Ancient Fiber. Planting Shrub Seeds in the spring will produce Salal Berry.
The eight items obtained from the Secret Woods—Rafflesia, Four-Leaf Clover, Poison Mushroom, Red Baneberry, Mushroom Colonies, Bearberry, Ancient Fiber, and Salal Berry—are necessary for completing all goods achievements in SVE and obtaining 100% progress.
In SVE, there is a new cabin behind Marnie’s Ranch. Marnie stores various items in this cabin, where her workbench and a machine for processing wood are located. A list is placed on the table, indicating Marnie manages her ranch very well.
A photo of Marnie’s Ranch when it was first built hangs on the wall. A handcrafted loom from Granplaton is placed here, along with a crate containing boxes and Shane’s little barrel, as well as cheese presses and mayonnaise machines.
Upon reaching eight hearts of friendship with Marnie, entering her cabin between 9 AM and 8 PM will trigger Marnie’s eight-heart event. Marnie is inspecting her cheese press and mentions that few people usually visit this cabin. She shares that her cows produced a lot of milk yesterday, and she plans to use it to make fresh cheese.
Marnie mentions that the people of Grampleton often order fresh dairy products from her. She offers to teach us how to make Cheese Rings. After this, the cheese we produce can be sold at higher prices.
