How to Get to Ginger Island in Stardew Valley Expanded 1.15.11
Getting to Ginger Island in SVE 1.15.11
Stardew Valley Expanded 1.15.11 does not replace the initial Ginger Island unlock. On Stardew Valley 1.6.15.24356, your first trip still comes through Willy's repaired boat. The Wizard, Nexus, and SVE's later island events do not bypass this first unlock.
1. Complete the Community Center or Joja route
At the end of a day, vanilla trigger action Mail_Willy_BackRoomUnlocked checks whether either the Community Center or Joja development route is complete. It then sends willyBackRoomInvitation, Willy's letter saying that the Fish Shop back room is unlocked.

If the letter is missing, confirm the main route is fully complete, sleep once, and check that another mod has not changed Data/TriggerActions or Willy's Fish Shop.
2. Inspect and repair Willy's boat
Enter the back room and view event 9348571. The repair has three independent contributions:
| Boat part | Required material | Internal progress flag |
|---|---|---|
| Hull | 200 Hardwood | willyBoatHull |
| Ticket machine | 5 Battery Packs | willyBoatTicketMachine |
| Anchor | 5 Iridium Bars | willyBoatAnchor |

After all three flags are present, the overnight world-change event repairs the boat and adds willyBoatFixed. In multiplayer this is shared world progression; the repair checks the host's global state rather than unlocking a separate boat for each farmhand.
3. Buy the first ticket
Return to the Fish Shop back room after the repair. The boat ticket costs 1,000g per passenger per trip. Willy's shop opens at 8:00 AM after the boat is fixed, as stated in the willyHours mail.

Later travel options
| Method | How to obtain it | Cost or recipe |
|---|---|---|
| Warp Totem: Island | Buy its recipe from the Volcano Shop after reaching Ginger Island | Recipe costs 10,000g; craft with 5 Hardwood, 1 Dragon Tooth, and 1 Ginger |
| Island Obelisk | Build through the Wizard's magic-building menu after visiting the island and unlocking that menu | 1,000,000g, 10 Iridium Bars, 10 Dragon Teeth, and 10 Bananas |
SVE later adds island characters, events, fish, and magical travel connections, but none of those changes the boat as the initial route.

Core island progression
Collect Golden Walnuts to open Island West and the farmhouse, repair permanent routes and facilities, reach the Field Office, explore the Volcano Dungeon, grow crops year-round, and eventually enter Qi's Walnut Room. Golden Walnuts pay for island unlocks; Qi Gems are a separate late-game currency.
