Stardew Valley Teleportation Guide: Totems, Obelisks, and Scepter
Teleportation progression by unlock stage
| Stage | Useful methods | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Warp Totem: Farm, Mountains, Beach; unlocked Minecarts | Consumable Totems use local recipes or limited sources. |
| Mid | Warp Totem: Desert; Mini-Obelisk pair | Desert access and Wizard special-order progression required. |
| Late | Island Totem, Earth/Water/Desert/Island Obelisks, Farm Obelisk, Return Scepter | Large gold/material and Ginger Island requirements apply. |
Mini-Obelisk: the missing repeatable farm teleporter
Complete the Wizard’s ectoplasm special order and receive mail WizardReward2 to learn the recipe. One Mini-Obelisk costs:
- 30 Hardwood
- 20 Solar Essence
- 3 Gold Bars
Place two Mini-Obelisks on the Farm. Interacting with one transports the player to the other, providing repeatable farm-to-farm travel without consuming a Totem.
Warp Totem: Island is not an early-game target
The recipe is sold at the Volcano Dwarf shop for 10,000g after reaching Ginger Island. Each Totem uses 5 Hardwood + 1 Dragon Tooth + 1 Ginger. Those access and material gates place it in late-game progression.
Permanent destination tools
- Large Obelisks: permanent farm structures for their named destinations.
- Farm Obelisk: Ginger Island structure returning the player to the Farm.
- Return Scepter: reusable personal return to the Farmhouse entrance.
- Mini-Obelisks: a two-point link within the Farm rather than a world destination.
