Badge Route

From Clair to Dratini

1 Defeat Clair in Blackthorn Gym. She sends you behind the Gym to Dragon's Den instead of handing over the badge immediately.

2 Bring Surf and Whirlpool, cross Dragon's Den B1F, and enter Dragon Shrine. Save before starting the elder's quiz.

3 Pick Pal, Raising, Anybody, Love, Both. Clair appears, admits defeat, and gives Rising Badge.

4 Leave the shrine route so Clair catches you in Dragon's Den B1F and gives TM24 DragonBreath.

5 Make sure your party has five or fewer Pokemon, then return to the elder for Dratini.

Use Whirlpool in the cave before entering Dragon Shrine. Pickups here include Calcium, Max Elixer, hidden Revive, hidden Max Potion, hidden Max Elixer, Dragon Fang, and TM24 DragonBreath.

Reward Split

Rising Badge unlocks Waterfall use. TM24 comes from Clair after you leave the shrine path. Dratini comes from the elder only after the TM scene and party-space check.
