Shrub Seed is an SVE crop seed found by digging specific buried spawn points in the Secret Woods. It grows only in spring and summer and produces repeat Salal Berry harvests.
How to find Shrub Seeds
- Upgrade to a Steel Axe and remove the large log blocking the Secret Woods entrance.
- Bring a Hoe and check the diggable positions throughout the Secret Woods.
- SVE attempts to create 1–2 buried Shrub Seeds on days 2, 4, 8, 12, 14, 17, 21, and 26 of every season.
- The buried spawn lasts one day, so dig on the listed day instead of waiting until later in the week.

No pruning step is required. Water it like another seasonal crop; fertilizer is optional and follows normal crop-quality rules.
Cooking and processing
Mixed Berry Pie uses 1 Strawberry, 1 Salal Berry, 1 Blackberry, 1 Bearberry, 1 Sugar, and 1 Wheat Flour. Salal Berry is also a fruit-category item, so the standard Keg and Preserves Jar rules produce Salal Berry Wine and Salal Berry Jelly. At normal quality, the base values are 225g for Wine and 200g for Jelly before the Artisan profession.
