What Was Commonly Misstated
- The evening dock fish is Super Cucumber, not Sea Cucumber.
- The Island West and Island North freshwater pools contain Tilapia, not Stingray.
- Stingray belongs to Pirate Cove (
IslandSouthEastCave). - The Caldera’s normal fish is Lava Eel; Tiger Trout is not in the local Caldera record.
- There is no rule that makes the first Volcano catch a Magma Cap. Before its mail flag is set, the Caldera instead has a separate 5% furniture catch entry; it does not replace the fish list with Magma Cap.
Why This Guide Does Not Publish Fixed Catch Percentages
The location records are evaluated in order and interact with Fishing Zone, distance from shore, fish requirements, special catches, bait, luck, and trash selection. A single percentage quoted without those inputs is not portable to every cast. For a reliable plan, first choose the correct water area and time window, then improve Fishing Zone by casting farther from shore.
Quick Recommendations
- For Stingray, unlock the Resort path and fish inside Pirate Cove.
- For Blue Discus or Tilapia, use the freshwater section of Island West or the Island North river.
- For Super Cucumber, fish the south/west ocean or Pirate Cove after 6:00 p.m.
- For Lava Eel, use the Caldera and cast as far from shore as possible; its local entry rises from 10% at distance 1 to 80% at distance 8+, before the rest of the catch-selection pipeline is applied.
