Golden Chickens in Stardew Valley: Eggs and Mayonnaise Profit
Golden Chickens are a post-Perfection animal. Once you obtain and incubate a Golden Egg, an adult Golden Chicken can produce Golden Eggs. The profit comparison below uses Stardew Valley 1.6.15.24356 object and machine records.
Golden Egg sale values
The local base price is 500g. Quality multipliers and Rancher apply to the raw egg:

Mayonnaise Machine output
One Golden Egg of any input quality is accepted by the local Mayonnaise Machine rule. After 180 in-game minutes it produces 3 gold-quality Mayonnaise. The input egg’s quality is not copied to the output.
- Gold-quality Mayonnaise: 190g × 1.5 = 285g each.
- Three jars without Artisan: 285g × 3 = 855g.
- Three jars with Artisan: floor(285g × 1.4) × 3 = 399g × 3 = 1,197g.
Profession rule
Rancher does not increase Mayonnaise prices. Mayonnaise is an artisan good, so Artisan is the relevant sale-price profession. The old 1,026g total incorrectly multiplied 855g by Rancher’s 20% animal-product bonus.
Raw or processed?
- Without professions, Mayonnaise (855g) beats regular, silver, and gold Golden Eggs but not an iridium Golden Egg (1,000g).
- With Rancher, compare the raw egg column against 855g; gold and iridium raw eggs are worth more.
- With Artisan, processed value is 1,197g, which beats every non-Rancher raw quality and nearly matches Rancher iridium at 1,200g.
