SVE Iridium Quarry Guide: Location, Ore, and Monsters
Where is the Iridium Quarry in SVE?
The Iridium Quarry is a separate combat area attached to the Crimson Badlands. After unlocking the Badlands, travel to its far western edge around the middle of the map. The three edge warps at approximately y 79–81 lead into Custom_IridiumQuarry.

What spawns there?
In SVE 1.15.11, Farm Type Manager defines the following daily resource spawn rolls:
- a base roll of 40–60 Iridium ore nodes, all using the Iridium spawn weight;
- 5–7 meteorites;
- the resource groups expire after one day and refresh at 6:00 AM.
SVE sets FTM's ore bonus to 1% per effective Mining level, based on the highest player level in the save, so the final ore attempt count can be slightly higher than the 40–60 base roll. Actual placed objects can also be lower if valid tiles are unavailable. The older 17–25-node figure does not match the current 1.15.11 source.
Enemies
The quarry is not a safe mining room. It contains Carbon Ghosts and Corrupt Mummies, with additional ghost waves while a player is present. Enabling SVE's challenging Badlands setting increases the wave count.
- Bring healing food and a strong weapon.
- Retreat toward the entrance if several enemies overlap.
- Bombs speed up ore collection, but keep enough space to avoid being boxed in by monsters.
Mining notes
Iridium Ore is used for Iridium Bars and tool upgrades; it is not a normal material for upgrading melee weapons. At the Volcano Forge, Ruby adds weapon damage and Emerald adds attack speed—Ruby is not the critical-hit gem, and Emerald does not increase attack radius.
