Four memos, four collection loops
Each memo is a separate inventory book. Completing one does not auto-fill the others, and story trades still need the real item in your bag.Fishing Memo
104 fish
Hook with the continuous bite tone, then use region and season filters in the checklist while you work the eight maps.Bug Memo
48 insects
Carry a Bug Net and a Bug Cage. Large beetles are easier with Bug Net(L).Flower Memo
32 flowers
Pick field flowers into a basket. Pink, Sweet Brier, and Dandelion also gate early story progress.Shellfish Memo
24 shellfish
Flippers unlock swimming and diving. Pearl Oyster opens Dad's Shore boat on the Teen route.Interactive tool

Swimming and diving
How to reach shellfish safely
Shellfish completion is gated by Flippers and by knowing which early shell is a quest item.1. Buy Flippers
On the Teen route, purchase Flippers at the Beach Tackle Shop before you try deep water. Without them you cannot dive for the Shellfish Memo.
2. Enter deep water
Swim beyond the shallow shoreline. Dive spots sit in darker or marked water—northeast Beach is the early Pearl Oyster dive.
3. Keep the first Pearl Oyster
Deliver P.Oyster to Dad at Shore to open the boat route. Fill the rest of the Shellfish Memo after that gate is secure.
4. Return for completion
Later maps and deeper coastal water add the remaining shells. Use the Shellfish tab above to mark each entry as you find it.
Practical loops
How to fill each memo without wasting days
Fish
Work one region at a time
- Filter the checklist to the current map.
- Match rod, bait, and hook in the fishing guide.
- Mark the species after the in-game memo updates.
Bugs
Net, cage, then move on
- Equip Bug Net(S) and leave one bag slot free.
- Swing when insects spawn near grass, trees, or lights.
- Park duplicates in a Bug Cage and check the Bug Memo.
Flowers
Story blooms first
- Secure Pink, Sweet Brier, or Dandelion when the route asks for them.
- Only then sweep maps for remaining Flower Memo entries.
- Keep a Flower Basket equipped so picks do not bounce.
Shellfish
Gate first, grind second
- Unlock Flippers and the Pearl Oyster delivery.
- Dive known coastal spots, then revisit after map unlocks.
- Mark each shell in the checklist as the Shellfish Memo fills.

Collection memo FAQ
How many entries are there total?
208 collectibles: 104 fish, 48 bugs, 32 flowers, and 24 shellfish.
Why does a flower pick not register?
Confirm the bloom is in your inventory or basket and open the Flower Memo after the pick. Quest-critical flowers may need the exchange step before you treat them as “done” for story progress.
Can I finish memos before the kings?
Yes for most field and coastal entries. A few fish still need late maps or king story gates; use the fish filters and the Sea King & River King guide.
Does this page replace the in-game memo?
No. Treat the checklist as a browser companion. Your cartridge save and the four in-game memo books remain the real completion record.
Where do I learn the fishing timing?
Press A on the continuous bite tone, then reel only while the fish rests. Full timing and loadouts are on the How to Catch Fish page.
What about swimming without Flippers?
You cannot dive the Shellfish Memo without Flippers. Buy them at Beach on the Teen path before grinding coastal shells.
