Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion and The True Love Valley
The Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion is a mod for Stardew Valley that changes the dialogue of NPCs to be more in line with the game’s canon. This means that certain plot points and character relationships will be different than in the vanilla game. Some players may want to use this mod for their first playthrough, in order to get a more accurate picture of the game’s story. However, others may prefer to play through the game without any mods, in order to experience it in its original form. There is no right or wrong answer here, and it ultimately comes down to personal preference.
The Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion (CFDE) adds day-to-day dialogue, festival dialogue, and content for all 12 spouses to all 34 characters with a heart level.
The True Love Valley mod (TLV) adds conversation to 6 of the 12 spouses. If TLV is added, it will replace what is put in CFDE for those 6 spouses. Some may be asking how the writing differs between the two mods. AFAIK, there should be few conflicts between both patches, so don’t be too concerned and test them both!

The mod has been a huge success, and I personally think it’s one of the best mods for Stardew Valley. It really makes the old couple come to life, and their dialogue is now much more interesting and engaging.
