House on Route 16 + Thunder Badge

Approach Route 16 from Celadon, Cut the northern tree, and follow the secluded path to the Fly House for HM02. You do not need to wake Snorlax; it blocks the Cycling Road route farther south. Field Fly works outdoors after the Thunder Badge.

    Routing tips

    Using Fly efficiently

    Visit before you need it

Fly destinations unlock by visitation. Touch a city’s entrance early so you can hop back for marts, healing, or gym rematches in spirit.

    Route 4 & Route 10

These route warps are Yellow’s quality-of-life extras near Mt. Moon and the Rock Tunnel / Power Plant stretch—great for legendary and fossil routing.

    Indoors still block Fly

You must be in the overworld. Caves, buildings, and some special maps refuse Fly with a “can’t fly here” message.

    Pair with Surf & Strength

After Safari Zone Surf and Warden Strength, Fly finishes the late-game mobility trio—see the HM slaves and Safari guides.
