Pay ¥500, take 30 Safari Balls, and spend at most 500 steps. Priority story loot: HM03 Surf in the Secret House and Gold Teeth in the West for HM04 Strength. Use the area finder for Yellow grass and Super Rod tables (Chansey, Tauros, Kangaskhan, Dratini, and more).

A Safari Game is a timed scavenger run, not a normal battle dungeon. Fight with BAIT / ROCK / BALL / RUN only—no standard moves. Clear the Secret House for Surf early if steps are tight, grab Gold Teeth in the West, then cash Strength at the Warden after you exit.

- Pay ¥500 at the Fuchsia Safari Zone Gate.
- Receive 30 Safari Balls; leftover balls are returned when you finish.
- HUD tracks remaining steps out of 500.
- Battles use Safari menu only (no PP moves).
Efficient first clear
- Route toward the Secret House before heavy grinding.
- Detour West for Gold Teeth while balls remain.
- Exit cleanly, hand teeth to the Warden, teach Strength.
- Re-enter later for Chansey / Tauros / Dratini hunts.

BAIT vs ROCK
BAIT makes fleeing less likely but can also make catch checks harder; ROCK does the opposite flavor of trade-off. There is no standard fight—plan balls, not super-effective STAB.
Bring a Super Rod
Safari water can roll Dratini / Dragonair on Super Rod tables. Get the rod on Route 12 first—see the fishing guide.
Dex value targets
Chansey, Tauros, Kangaskhan, Scyther, and Pinsir are common Safari search targets for living dex runs. Cross-check with complete Pokédex.
After Strength
HM04 opens boulder puzzles on Victory Road and elsewhere. Pair with HM slaves and the Team Planner.
