Above the Clouds (S6) is the South sky stage opened by the Sky Key from Tower of Revival. Use the finder below for every Gray, Red, Green, and Blue chest plus all eight Musical Coins—with exact room-map links for Day/Night and each map variant. First priority is the Gray Chest Green Crayon, one of the seven crayons that unlock the Golf Building.
FIRST CLEAR PRIORITY
Open the Gray Chest for the Green Crayon, then push Fire Drencher and Jackhammer
Carry the Gray Key from room 12 to the Gray Chest in the room 0 family and take the Green Crayon. On the same visit path, grab the Red Fire Drencher and Green Jackhammer when those rooms are open—they feed East and West Crater layout upgrades. Leave the Blue Pickaxe for a Full Moon Gong / Night Variant 4 revisit if the route is still closed.

How Above the Clouds fits the South path
Unlock S6
Clear the Blue Chest in S3 Tower of Revival for the Sky Key. Use it on the sky door from the tower to enter Above the Clouds.
Green Crayon + tools
Take Green Crayon for the golf crayon set, then Fire Drencher and Jackhammer to open East/West Crater layout upgrades.
Later clean-up
Full Moon Gong (N6 Blue) opens S6 V4 for the Pickaxe route. Scissors (S5 Blue) opens S6 V3. Musical Coins and the golf door finish 100% side goals.

S6 has four progression variants on both Day and Night. Variant 1 is available once the Sky Key opens the level. Later variants open after you collect specific treasures elsewhere:

What to do in Above the Clouds on the first clear
Enter from Tower of Revival
After the Sky Key opens the sky door, enter S6 from S3. Bring whatever permanent abilities you already have—Lead Overalls, Super Jump, and Grab Gloves help a lot in sky rooms.
Gray Key → Green Crayon
Take the Gray Key in room 12, open the Gray Chest in the room 0 family, leave with the Green Crayon, and tick it off the seven-crayon golf list.
Tools, then revisit
Grab Fire Drencher and Jackhammer when open. Return later for Pickaxe (Full Moon Gong Night V4), Musical Coins, golf door clear, and any remaining crayon-set clean-up.

How do you unlock Above the Clouds?
Collect the Sky Key from the Blue Chest in S3 Tower of Revival. The Sky Key opens the sky door to S6 Above the Clouds from the tower and enables Above the Clouds Variant 2.
How do I open the Gray / Grey Chest in Above the Clouds?
Find the matching Gray Key in room 12, carry it to the Gray Chest in the room 0 family (also rooms 3, 11, 25, or 26 depending on map state), and open it for the Green Crayon.
What does the Green Crayon do?
It is one of seven crayons. Collect all seven to color the Golf Building on the North–West border and open its four fixed courses. Green Crayon is not required for the main Music Box ending.
What does the Fire Drencher do?
It unlocks Variant 2 of E6 The East Crater and Variant 3 of W6 The West Crater, opening deeper crater treasure routes on later revisits.
What does the Jackhammer do?
It unlocks Variant 3 of The East Crater. The Green Key and Green Chest both sit in room 5 on the default Day layout.
What does the Pickaxe do?
It unlocks Variant 4 of The East Crater. The recommended map state for the Blue Chest is Night + Full Moon Gong (Variant 4), with the key in rooms 2 / 7 / 20 / 28 / 29 and the chest in room 22.
How many Musical Coins are in Above the Clouds?
Eight—the same as every other level. Use the coin table above or the full Musical Coins Finder if you are missing one for 100% side goals.
Is Above the Clouds required for the ending?
No. The main ending needs the five Music Boxes and the final boss. S6 treasures support the golf crayon set, East/West Crater variants, Perfect completion, and 100% Musical Coins.

No named boss is tied to the S6 chest and coin target set. Focus on the four colored chests, eight Musical Coins, and the in-level golf door.
