Pokemon Yellow Game Corner coins & prizes
Get the Coin Case at the Celadon Diner, bank free coins (NPC gifts + hidden floor piles), then redeem Yellow-only prize mons—especially Porygon for 9,999. Use the budget calculator to convert coin goals into ¥, map pins, and checklist progress.
Fast answer
Yellow prizes ≠ Red/Blue
English Yellow’s Prize Room sells Abra, Vulpix, Wigglytuff, Scyther, Pinsir, Porygon plus TM23 / TM15 / TM50—not the Red/Blue lineup. The clerk sells only 50-coin packs for ¥1,000; ¥20 is a nominal per-coin rate, not a freely divisible purchase. The case caps at 9,999.

Coin Case — Celadon Diner
Talk to the gambler at the back table. Holds up to 9,999 coins. Without it, slots and purchases refuse you.
Three corner NPCs
Twelve floor coin spots
Hidden coins are one-time pickups on the Game Corner floor (coordinates from pret/pokeyellow). Largest single pile is 100. Use the checklist below and the map marker layer.
Buy 50 coins for ¥1,000
The clerk sells indivisible 50-coin packs. Starting from zero, reaching Porygon’s 9,999 price requires 200 packs and ¥200,000; the final purchase is capped by the Coin Case. Collect the 290 free coins first when practical.

What to buy
Prize priority for story teams
Abra (230) — cheapest Psychic
Level 15 Abra is a steal for Special attackers if you still need Kadabra later. Confirm trade-evolution plans on the trades page.
Vulpix / Wigglytuff — mid counters
Vulpix (1000) for Fire depth; Wigglytuff (2680) for bulky Normal. Cross-check wild alternatives in the Pokédex before spending big.
Scyther / Pinsir (6500)
Bug physical shells for Erika-adjacent coverage and late gyms. Team fit: Team Planner and best team.
Porygon (9999) — dex & flex
Flagship prize and awkward wild miss. For living dex goals see complete Pokédex and gift Pokémon.
TM15 Hyper Beam / TM23 / TM50
Machine prizes are one-time uses in Yellow. Locations for other TMs: TM & HM guide.
Slots note
Yellow’s slot routine is multi-stage. This page does not invent a single “win rate.” Prefer gifts, hidden coins, and cash buys when you need a guaranteed prize total.
