How to get the Silph Scope in Pokemon Yellow
The Silph Scope is the prize of Rocket Hideout under the Celadon Game Corner. Cross the spinner floors, take the Lift Key on B4F, ride the elevator, beat Jessie & James and Giovanni, then pick up the Scope to clear Pokémon Tower ghosts.
Fast answer
Spinners → Lift Key → Giovanni → Scope
Open the secret stairs in the Game Corner, descend through B2F/B3F arrow mazes, grab the Lift Key from the isolated B4F Rocket, elevator into Giovanni’s wing, defeat Jessie & James and Giovanni (Onix / Rhyhorn / Persian), then take the Silph Scope ball. Route
From Game Corner to the Scope
1. Enter via Game Corner
In Celadon, open the secret poster stairs in the Game Corner into Rocket Hideout B1F. Heal at the Celadon Center first.
2. Spinner floors B2F → B3F
Forced-arrow tiles push you until a wall or stop tile. Aim for the stairs to the next floor—do not fight every tile. Optional loot: Moon Stone, Nugget, TMs, Rare Candy.
3. Lift Key on B4F
Beat the isolated Rocket (Koffing / Zubat Lv.21) and take the Lift Key. Without it, elevators will not open Giovanni’s wing.
4. Elevator → bosses → Scope
Ride the elevator, clear Jessie & James, defeat Giovanni, pick up the Silph Scope, then head to Lavender Tower.

Lift Key before elevator spam
If elevators do nothing useful, you still need the B4F Grunt’s key. Clear that first every time.
Spinners are paths, not fights
Choose the entry arrow that ends near stairs. Fighting every Rocket is optional.
Go straight to Lavender
With the Scope, Pokémon Tower ghosts become battlable. Mr. Fuji awards the Poké Flute path next.
Different Giovanni fights
Hideout → Scope. Silph 11F → Master Ball. Viridian Gym → Earth Badge. Do not mix their rewards.
