Walk into Celadon Department Store → 4F and buy Fire / Water / Thunder / Leaf for ₽2,100 each whenever you need them. Moon Stone never appears in that shop—grab the five field stones instead (start with Mt. Moon 1F). For Eevee, claim the rooftop gift first, then buy the matching stone. Do not waste a Thunder Stone on partner Pikachu.

Play tips
Spend stones like a Yellow cart, not Red/Blue
Partner Pikachu ≠ Raichu
Thunder Stone on the starter plays a refuse animation. Plan Electric with Pikachu’s level-up Thunderbolt, Jolteon, or later Zapdos.
Vulpix is a coin tax
Yellow’s Vulpix is a Game Corner prize (1,000 coins), not Route 7/8 grass. Budget coins before you plan Ninetales.
Growlithe is late
Growlithe lives in Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar. Fire Stone Arcanine is a late-game luxury, not a Brock answer.
Leaf Stone power spikes
Exeggutor (Safari Exeggcute + Leaf) is one of the best no-trade Special attackers. Victreebel / Vileplume need Gloom or Weepinbell first.

Will Thunder Stone evolve my starter Pikachu?

Which Eevee evolution is best?
Vaporeon is the safest generalist. Jolteon if you want a fast Electric after mid-game. Flareon is usually weaker than waiting for Growlithe → Arcanine.
Do stones work from the PC box?
Use stones from the bag on a party member. Withdraw the mon first if it is in the PC.
